I come from a humble background, and my journey to becoming a UPSC topper was not easy. I was born and brought up in Mumbai, and my parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. I did my engineering from VJTI Mumbai, where I was exposed to various opportunities and challenges. I worked as an IT engineer for a while, but I always had a passion for public service.
My study plan was quite disciplined, and I followed a strict schedule. I would wake up at 5 am every day, exercise for an hour, and then start my studies. I would focus on one subject at a time, and I would make sure to cover all the topics before moving on to the next one. I would also take breaks in between to refresh my mind and avoid burnout.
The biggest challenge I faced during my preparation was time management. I had to balance my studies with my work and other responsibilities, and it was not easy. I also faced a lot of self-doubt and uncertainty, but I never gave up. I kept pushing myself to work harder and stay focused.
My strategy was to focus on one subject at a time and make sure to cover all the topics before moving on to the next one. I would also take breaks in between to refresh my mind and avoid burnout. I would also use case studies and real-life examples to make my learning more engaging and effective.
My interview experience was quite challenging, but it was also a great learning experience. I was asked a lot of questions about my background, my interests, and my goals. I was also asked to answer some tough questions about current events and policy issues. I was nervous at first, but I tried to stay calm and composed.
My success in the UPSC CSE was a result of my hard work and dedication. I had to overcome a lot of challenges and obstacles, but I never gave up. I kept pushing myself to work harder and stay focused, and it paid off in the end.
