I come from a small town in Uttarakhand, and my family has always been supportive of my dreams. I was fascinated by the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS) since my school days. I knew that I wanted to become an IPS officer, but I also knew that it wouldn't be easy.
I started preparing for the UPSC CSE exam after completing my graduation. I knew that I had to create a study plan that would help me cover the entire syllabus in a systematic manner. I divided my study material into three categories: GS, CSAT, and Optional. I focused on one subject at a time and made sure that I completed all the topics before moving on to the next one.
The biggest challenge I faced during my preparation was time management. I had to balance my studies with my work and other responsibilities. I also had to deal with self-doubt and anxiety, which made it difficult for me to stay motivated.
I used various strategies to overcome the challenges I faced during my preparation. I joined a coaching institute that provided me with a structured study plan and regular mocks. I also practiced writing answers to previous year's questions, which helped me improve my writing skills.
The interview experience was a turning point for me. I was nervous and anxious, but I tried to stay calm and composed. I answered all the questions to the best of my ability and tried to showcase my knowledge and skills.
I was overjoyed when I received the news that I had cleared the UPSC CSE 2022 with AIR 130. It was a dream come true for me, and I knew that all my hard work and dedication had paid off.
