I come from a small town in India where education is highly valued. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and I was determined to become an IAS officer. I remember my grandfather telling me stories about his experiences as a government servant, which sparked my interest in public service.
My study plan was quite rigorous. I started preparing for the UPSC exam after my graduation. I began by creating a detailed study schedule, which included topics to be covered each day. I also made sure to allocate time for revision and practice tests. My optional subject was PSIR, and I dedicated a significant amount of time to studying it.
There were several challenges I faced during my preparation. One of the biggest challenges was managing my time effectively. With a full-time job and a family to take care of, it was difficult to balance my studies with other responsibilities. I also faced difficulties in understanding some of the complex topics, which required me to seek help from my teachers and mentors.
To overcome the challenges, I employed several strategies. Firstly, I made sure to prioritize my studies and allocate sufficient time for each topic. I also created a study group with my friends, which helped me stay motivated and focused. Additionally, I made use of online resources and study materials to supplement my learning.
The interview experience was both exhilarating and intimidating. I was nervous but confident at the same time. The panel asked me a range of questions, from my optional subject to current events. I was prepared for the questions and was able to answer them confidently.
Securing rank 210 in the UPSC exam was a dream come true for me. It was the result of my hard work and dedication. I am proud of myself for achieving this feat, and I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams.
