Growing up in Odisha, I was always fascinated by the stories of my grandparents who were involved in social work. This sparked my interest in public service, and I decided to pursue a career in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
My study plan was quite detailed, and I ensured comprehensive coverage of the syllabus. I followed a schedule that included dedicated time for each subject, with a focus on current affairs and practice questions. I also made sure to revise regularly, using flashcards and concept maps to reinforce my understanding.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was time management. With a busy schedule and limited time, it was difficult to balance my studies with other responsibilities. I had to be strict with myself and prioritize my tasks accordingly.
The interview was a challenging experience, but I was well-prepared. I made sure to practice my responses to common interview questions and worked on my communication skills. During the interview, I was asked a range of questions, from current affairs to my personal experiences. I tried to be as honest and authentic as possible, highlighting my strengths and weaknesses.
Securing the 48th rank in the UPSC CSE 2024 examination was a dream come true. It was a result of my hard work, dedication, and perseverance. I am proud to have achieved this milestone and hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams.
Pursuing a career in the IAS requires dedication, hard work, and perseverance. It's essential to stay focused, motivated, and positive throughout the journey. I hope my story can inspire others to pursue their dreams and achieve success.
