I come from a humble background, and my family has always been supportive of my dreams. Growing up, I was fascinated by the world of politics and governance, and I knew that I wanted to make a difference in society. I pursued my undergraduate degree in Anthropology, which further solidified my interest in the subject.
My study plan was quite rigorous, with a focus on covering all the subjects in the UPSC syllabus. I created a detailed schedule, allocating specific time slots for each subject. I also made sure to revise my notes regularly, using flashcards and concept maps to reinforce my understanding. I spent a significant amount of time reading current affairs, staying updated on national and international news.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was time management. With a demanding study schedule, it was easy to get overwhelmed and lose focus. I had to be extremely disciplined and prioritize my tasks effectively. Another challenge was dealing with self-doubt and imposter syndrome. There were times when I felt like I wasn't good enough, but I reminded myself of my goals and the reasons why I started this journey.
Key to my success was creating a study group. I connected with like-minded individuals who shared similar goals and interests. We studied together, discussed our notes, and provided each other with moral support. I also made sure to take breaks and engage in physical activities, like yoga and meditation, to maintain my mental and physical well-being.
The interview experience was both exhilarating and intimidating. I was asked a range of questions, from general knowledge to specific topics related to my optional subject. I tried to stay calm and composed, using my knowledge and experience to answer the questions to the best of my abilities.
Securing Rank 119 in the UPSC 2022 examination was a dream come true. It was a testament to my hard work, dedication, and perseverance. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have had, and I am excited to see where this journey takes me next.
