I started preparing for the UPSC exam in 2017, after my graduation. I created a study plan that included a mix of theory and practice. I read a lot of books, including NCERTs, standard textbooks, and topic-wise guides. I also practiced a lot of previous year question papers and mock tests.

The biggest challenge I faced during my preparation was time management. I had to balance my work and study schedule, and it was tough to manage my time effectively. I also faced a lot of self-doubt and uncertainty, especially during my first attempt.

To overcome these challenges, I developed a few strategies that worked for me. First, I prioritized my studies and focused on the most important topics. I also created a schedule that included regular breaks and self-care activities. I used to exercise regularly and meditate to reduce stress.

• Stay positive and motivated: It's easy to get demotivated during the long and arduous preparation process. But it's essential to stay positive and focused on your goals.
• Create a schedule: Plan out your day, week, and month in advance. This will help you stay on track and make the most of your time.
• Practice consistently: Regular practice is key to improving your skills and knowledge. Make sure to practice a little every day, even if it's just for a few minutes.

The interview experience was a mix of emotions for me. I was nervous and anxious, but also excited and confident. I was asked a lot of questions about my optional subject, Geography, and my experiences during my preparation.

Securing AIR 225 in the UPSC exam was a dream come true for me. It was a culmination of all my hard work and dedication. I feel proud to have achieved this feat, and I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams.
