I come from a family that values education and hard work. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and never give up. I was born and brought up in a small town in India, where I completed my schooling. I was always fascinated by history and politics, and I knew that I wanted to make a career in these fields.
My study plan was quite rigorous. I used to wake up at 5:00 AM every day and start my day with a 2-hour study session. I would cover a mix of static subjects like history, geography, and polity, as well as dynamic subjects like current affairs and ethics. I also made sure to revise my notes regularly and practice previous years' question papers.
There were several challenges that I faced during my preparation. One of the biggest challenges was managing my time effectively. With a full-time job and a family to take care of, it was difficult to find time to study. I also faced a lot of self-doubt and frustration when I didn't understand certain concepts. But I never gave up and kept pushing myself to learn more.
To overcome the challenges, I developed a few strategies that worked for me. Firstly, I created a schedule and stuck to it. I also made sure to take breaks and not burn out. I used to exercise regularly and meditate to keep my mind fresh. I also joined a study group, which helped me stay motivated and learn from others.
The interview experience was nerve-wracking, but also very rewarding. I was well-prepared and confident, and I was able to answer all the questions to the best of my ability. The interviewers were very friendly and supportive, and they made me feel at ease. I was able to showcase my knowledge and skills, and I was proud of myself for doing so well.
Securing rank 27 in the UPSC exam was a huge success for me. It was a dream come true, and I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. I was able to achieve my goal through hard work and determination, and I knew that I could overcome any obstacle. My success is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of staying focused on one's goals.
