I still remember the day when I decided to take the UPSC exam. I was in my final year of college, and I had just completed my graduation in Geography. I had always been fascinated by the subject and had a strong passion for it. I started preparing for the exam by reading books and taking online courses.
My study plan was quite rigorous. I used to wake up early in the morning and start studying at 6 am. I would cover all the topics in my syllabus and make sure that I understood each concept thoroughly. I also used to take breaks in between to refresh my mind and avoid burnout.
One of the biggest challenges that I faced during my preparation was time management. I had to balance my studies with my other responsibilities, such as attending classes and participating in extracurricular activities. It was difficult to manage my time effectively, but I was determined to succeed.
To overcome the challenges that I faced, I developed a few strategies that helped me stay motivated and focused. Firstly, I created a study schedule that I followed religiously. I also used to reward myself for small achievements, such as completing a chapter or scoring well in a mock test.
The interview experience was a new and exciting challenge for me. I was nervous but confident at the same time. I was asked a variety of questions, ranging from general knowledge to specific questions related to my optional subject. I was able to answer all the questions confidently and to the best of my abilities.
Looking back, I realize that my success in the UPSC exam was not just a result of my hard work and determination, but also due to the support of my family and friends. They encouraged me to pursue my dreams and provided me with the necessary motivation to stay focused on my goals.
